'I have a blue balloon, a happy tune Love enough to last me all through the afternoon' - FWB Maternity Photography

Friday, July 20, 2012
I was beyond thrilled when I was asked to photograph this couple's maternity.  I took their engagement photos and, in about a week and a half, will be photographing their brand new baby boy, Oliver!!!  These are the reasons I do what I do - I become invested in people's lives and get to take this incredible journey with them through the milestones of their lives and it is such an honor and a blessing to me - more than words could describe!  I love that the mama-to-be came to me with so many of her own fun ideas for this shoot - we had such fun, even in the midst of a teeny-tiny surprise rain shower!  Congratulations to Joey & Rachel on the birth of their son; I can't wait to meet him!!

'Love Me Like a Song' - Fort Walton Beach Maternity Photography

Thursday, July 19, 2012
I just adored shooting this couple as they prepared to welcome their sweet baby girl into the world.  The love between them just radiated like the sun that shone around us - I also had SUCH a blast as there was a certain adventurous spirit among us as we ventured into the water amidst some pretty crazy waves.   Enjoy these photos and best of luck to the expectant couple!

May the Fourth Be With You {i-friday roundup}

Friday, July 6, 2012

Hope everyone had a fabulous holiday this week - whether you were traveling or enjoying a stay-cation! I am going to be having some insane sneak peeks here soon as I've been having a shoot a day for the past couple of days but for now, it's time for an i-friday roundup!

Lydia's very into being her own little independent self these days.  She spotted that the kitchen cabinets were open and  decided she was going to get herself a snack - chicken broth.  Hmmm, interesting choice Lulu.  So she got out a bowl and attempted to fill it with her snack but couldn't figure out how to get the broth container open.  See her in the lower right hand photo of her rubbing her chest - she was saying please, I'm assuming "please help me!" I was nice and got her a better snack ;)

1).  Ava being my little "Alice" - having her reading time out under a tree. Just glad she didn't spot any garden snakes!  2) Charlie & Lola - some of our favorite books!  3). Some of my favorite days, hanging out at home with a cup of coffee in hand doing "NUTHIN" !  4) We found the certificate Ethan received when he had his pirate makeover at Disney this past March - his official pirate name is "James Keelkidd" - aaarrgghh!

5) Don't know who ordered an iced coffee with caramel syrup but it wasn't me!!! Bleh - I try not to get too mad when the baristas mix up my drink but it sure makes for an unsatisfying two hour ride to a photoshoot!  6) Star Wars battles in the living room - may the FOURTH be with you!  7) A cake that looks like a hamburger -yum question mark ????  8)  Ava and her bestie - watermelon girls on Independence Day!

9 - 10)  Chore sticks for the kiddos - gotta start earnin' their keep 'round here! 11) Mermama and merbaby - a gift from the Price girls!  12)  Ava's artistic version of Lola from "Charlie & Lola"

Have a great weekend y'all! xoxo

hear those sirens' song {i-friday roundup}

Friday, June 29, 2012

What?! January?! So, I am seriously behind on my i-friday posts.  Remember when I use to post my favorite iPhone photo (typically an Instagram photo - my fave smart phone camera app!!)?  Well, I couldn't ever just pick one - so I've decided to do i-friday ROUNDUPS - my favorites from the whole week all rounded up in one big post!  My photography business is very personal to me; your memories mean so much to me, especially since many of you have let me in on the inside of some very personal events in your lives!  So I love giving my clients and followers a little glimpse into my personal life every now and then.  We also loooooove comments around here *wink wink*.  So here goes, the first of many "roundups" - yeehaw!

(1) Our family is going "Paleo"!  We made a lot of healthy changes in the way we eat and the foods we keep in our house and this is THE cookbook to help you get started in those decisions.  (2) DIY project for my sweet Ava's upcoming bday party (3) My LuLu is a necklace wearin', shoe lovin' fool! (4) new Bible cover!

 (5) On Pinterest, I've seen these called "Unicorn Poop Cookies"- ew!  But they tasted amazing!  (2) My three muskateers! Sometimes, more appropriately titled the "three stooges" (3) Ethan's favorite take-home craft from his Star Wars camp! "Size matters not..." - Yoda (4) Sitting on my porch in me NEW adironack chair - assembled, sanded and finished all by myself! Aaaahhh, relaxing!

These photos are some that I took of the new top I made Ava - her "Mermaiden Top".  We came up with the idea for this top and made it for her upcoming 4th birthday which is Mermaid theme.  We've got water in our brains around my house - a little sea creature obsessed....

you are my sunshine when skies are grey

I once asked the dad of this blue-eyed, button-nosed cutie if he always had the urge, in his best breathy Darth Vader voice, "Luke, I am your faaaather".   I simply adore this little family and was so honored when they asked me to take their son's first birthday photos.  With a sunshiney party ahead, everything was very bright and just simply "him"!  How could I even dream of doing anything to his photos to distract from his stunning face and irrististable personality?!  I hope you enjoy them!

When I met his parents, I knew baby Jackson would be a cutie but I could not have fathomed just HOW MUCH of a cutie he would turn out to be!!  His little button nose and pouty lips were just too much for me -  I love that his daddy is building a heritage in aviation for him and being surrounded by airplanes and stars, he's destined for a soaring future!  Congratulations again to Greg and Lisa!!
